Sofia Sebben, a doctoral candidate under the supervision of Professor Caroline Fitzpatrick, has been awarded the Dissertation Research Funding Award (DFA) from the Society for Research in Child Development (SRCD). This prestigious award recognizes exceptional dissertation proposals in child development.
Sofia’s dissertation, “Parental Reflective Functioning, Child Socioemotional Development and Screen Use in Childhood,” explores the impact of screen time on young children’s emotional regulation and aims to inform evidence-based early childhood programs and policies.
